Connect Instagram and WhatsApp
Connect Instagram and WhatsApp
Channels are how ATRAY publishes and talks. Connecting them is the first step of the setup.
In the Studio, open Social networks and follow the Facebook/Instagram login.
Meta's requirements (they're not ATRAY's, they come from the Instagram API):
- the profile has to be a Business or Creator account - a personal profile can't publish through the API;
- the profile has to be linked to a Facebook Page;
- whoever signs in needs admin permission on that Page.
You can connect more than one account and choose, on each post, where to publish.
The login failed or the account doesn't show up
It's almost always one of the requirements above. In the Instagram app, check that the profile is set to Business or Creator and that it's linked to the right Page. Then connect again under Social networks.
WhatsApp is connected under CRM and is used for customer service: conversations land in the ATRAY inbox, with history, labels and - if you want - an AI agent answering.
There are two ways to connect, and the platform tells you which one applies to your case during the connection. When you connect, your recent conversation history is imported so you don't start from scratch.
Disconnecting
Disconnecting a channel stops publishing and receiving messages through it, but it doesn't delete what's already there: posts, conversations and contacts stay in your account.
